Moderna Vaccine On Hold in California After 10 People Experience Anaphylactic Shock

Moderna vaccines from batch 041L20A have been recalled due to severe allergic reactions to the vaccine in Tulare, Kings & Kern counties. Ten people experienced Anaphylactic Shock in San Diego after receiving the vaccine.

"Out of an extreme abundance of caution......we are recommending that providers use other available vaccine inventory and pause the administration of vaccines from Moderna Lot 041L20A until the investigation by the CDC, FDA, Moderna and the state is complete. We will provide an update as we learn more,” said California State Epidemiologist Dr. Erica S. Pan.
